Jonathan Culp, the radical video artist and human behind Satan MacNuggit, according to his newsletter entered 2008 with "vows of unfettered productivity". All the best to him. Seems that his collected DVDs, including Recap, Trigger Cut, Grilled Cheese Sandwich, It can Happen Here and Be a Cog, are now all available from the website noted above. Jonathan is also the coordinator for the winter season workshops held by the Liaison of Independent Filmmakers of Toronto (LIFT), and a complete listing of their upcoming workshop schedule is available at http://LIFT.on.ca . So if you're in the area of TO and are interested in independent video production be sure to check it out. Speaking of workshops Jonathan will also be giving a presentation on "video activism" at the Blackwood Gallery (U. of T. at Mississauga) on friday, February 8. See the galleries outreach coordinator, Susanne Carte-Blanchenot at 905-828-3789. Lots of stuff if you live in the TO area.
