**Northern Ontario correspondent Scott Neigh brings to light an important campaign seeking to clear John Moore's name. Moore is an Ojibway man whom activists claim was wrongfully convicted of second degree murder in 1978. Moore's lawyer, Denis Michel, said, "This archaic law that permitted the conviction of Mr. Moore was rectified in 1987 and despite that fact, nothing has been done to rectify the harm that has been caused to Mr. Moore.

**"Making his debut is our new Québec correspondent, Nicolas Phébus, with an article on the Public Sector unions forming a "Common Front" representing 475,000 health care, social services, education, public service and government workers as they prepare to negotiate with the Québec government. Phébus also contributes Linchpin's first video with footage from the Common Front rally in Québec City which saw the delivery of the union demands to the government.

**State repression columnist Jeff Shantz examines the ‘crime’ of sex work in Canada in the context of a recent court challenge to the laws in Ontario and the targeted policing of women working in the sex trade in Vancouver leading up to the Winter Olympics.

**Last but not least, Alex Balch reports from London, Ont. on the transit workers strike that has had the "Not in Service" sign on buses there for over three weeks.
