Basically it is the "torture academy" in which the US military trains South American security forces in their version of counter-insurgency techniques. Also on the SOAW website: the results of recent (today) results of trials in Columbus, Georgia in which various activists in the SOAW were sentenced to a varying number of prison terms for their actions last November at the SOAW vigil at Fort Benning, Georgia. Most (all?) of those tried were people of the Christian faith who were convinced that they had to "bear witness" against the injustice perpetuated by the SOA. Sentences varied from 30 days to 90 days for their acts of civil disobedience at the vigil. To learn more go to the website highlighted above.
