WINNIPEG'S FIRST ANARCHIST FESTIVAL AND BOOKFAIR:
Finally, long after such events have been running in many cities for many years Winnipeg will have its own anarchist bookfair. Coming this May 8th to 11th, hard on the heels of Mayday and soon before the major Montreal event it will be held in and around the A-Zone at 91 Albert St.. Party it up. Here is the callout...

'Spirited Anarchy' is a festival to celebrate our local radical communityand foster a wider understanding of the principles of anarchism throughart, film, literature, music, and discussion."
Current loose schedule;
*Thursday, May 8th: Anarchist music show, venue TBA, Bike Event
*Friday, May 9th: Discussion panels, Anarchist films at the Cinematheque
*Saturday, May 10th: Anarchist bookfair - venue TBA (hopefully Old MarketSquare), Poetry & Theatre performances, A-Zone (91 Albert St) FundraiserParty -> 4 floors of anarcho-madness!*Sunday, May 11: Mother's Day Brunch? Nurse hangovers, rebuild A-Zone
We are looking for folks to teach workshops & lead discussion groups,table at the bookfair (booksellers, distros, independent presses &political groups) play music, perform, speak, read poetry, display art andt o add their ideas & energy to make this festival as bad-ass as it possibly can be. If you have radical contacts abroad, let 'em know what's going down! (Especially if they're coming through town anyway on their way to the Montreal Bookfair the following weekend) Closer to the actual dates we'll also need volunteers to help cook/serve with Food Not Bombs,help with childcare, postering, billets, set-up/clean-up, etc. Please get in touch if you can help organize or have anything to offer!
