FUND RAISER FOR THE A-ZONE COOPERATIVE:


As has been mentioned before at this blog the various organizations resident in the 'A-Zone' at 91 Albert St. here in Winnipeg have been raising funds for the purchase and management of the building as a tenant owned and operated cooperative. Next weekend there will be a fund raiser for this effort. Here's the notice.

Since 1995, 91 Albert Street (home of Mondragon Bookstore & Coffeehouse) has been known as the Old Market Autonomous Zone, or "A-Zone". Help raise funds for the business, cooperative, and collective tenants of 91 Albert Street to purchase and manage the heritage building/community and commercial space as a non-profit, democratically-run tenant co-op. Join in for a fun night of carnival games, music and dancing.
