***Thursday June 5th* Post Rock Explorers "Rotten Livin' " (Mondragon, from 2008-06-05 19:30 to 2008-06-05 23:00)
Exploring terrian never before travelled......okay not in the Mondragon; local rock sensations "Rotten Livin' " will be busting out some tunes. Joined by fellow musical prober's "Dirtbagger" and Russian Rebels "Krondstadt 21"the evening starts at 7:30pm and is five bones......or maybe they'll except a colonizer's skull??? A cross-cultural activists' retreat and skill-sharing camp, featuring facilitated sessions on direct action and campaign communications.

2nd Annual CHAN Summer Social @ the Jamaican Hall. 1098 Winnipeg Ave. June 7th, 9PM-2AM. Music by DJ Magnum Force. The Jamaican Association will have their kitchen cooking Caribbean food, and the rum selection will again be very fine. $10 admission, good food and drink, dancing, silent auction.....it promises to be an all around great time. Mondragon in conjunction with the Manitoba Food Charter presents: the first part of our summer series of Panel Presentations and your opportunity to ask questions of members of the local agricultural community. 7pm; free to all, come ready to dig in and discuss some local food issues.
***Thursday June 26th* Food Security: A Local Perspective part two (Mondragon, from 2008-06-26 19:00 to 2008-06-26 21:00) Mondragon in conjunction with the Manitoba Food Charter present a panel and discussion evening entitled: Food Security: A Local Perspective. Part Two of these discussions will focus more on urban food issues.
