SUPPORT ARRESTED STUDENTS AT STANFORD:
On May 22 eleven students at Stanford University entered the office of the university president in a peaceful protest over the fact that their school has still refused to commit to the 'Designated Suppliers Program' which ensures that brands producing university apparel only source production to clothing manufacturers with ethical labour policies, not sweatshops. The response of the university administration was to call the police and have the students arrested. The Union Voice organization is calling for online solidarity with the students, demanding that all charges be dropped, that the university cease trying to silence students and that it take the issue of sweatshop free clothing seriously.
