LOCAL EVENTS:
MANITOBA ECO-NETWORK HOSTS ECO-FILMS AT THE PARK THEATRE:
Spring is slowly coming in here in the frozen north, and things will be heating up soon with the Winnipeg DIY festival and also Winnipeg's first anarchist bookfair (see previous posts on this blog). Meanwhile the Manitoba Eco-Network is hosting a monthly film showing at the Park Theatre, 698 Osborne St. South. All films are $5 for members of the network, students and low-income and $8 for regular admission. Tickets at the doors. Three film passes are going for $20. The list...
*March 26: 'Thirst'- explores grassroots campaigns against the privatization of water.
*April 30:'Crapshoot' - looks at the failure of our current sewage disposal system and alternatives.
*May 28: 'Food Revolution'- shows regional, Slow Food movements around the world.
All films will be accompanied by a short, and a moderated discussion will follow.
