THE CAT'S MEOW AND OTHERS:
Here's another little ad for the ever scintillating Anarchist Black Cat discussion board, dedicated to raise the tone of anarchist online discussion. Presently happening over there on the news kiosk is a report from the Barcelona transit strike, spearheaded by the CGT, Spain's largest anarcho-syndicalist union confederation, along with the independent bus drivers' union ACTUB. This in opposition to both the communist dominated CCOO and the Socialist Party dominated Barcelona city government.
Also in the 'Central Station' section is a great resource discussion called 'Anarchist Feminist Literature and Projects', as well as another with the title 'Small Efforts to Contribute to Working Class Resistance'. Plus too much more to mention. Drop over to the ABC to see what it's all about.
In other news there's a new discussion board (new as in set up 2 days ago) for anarchosyndicalists, libertarian communists, left anarchists, etc.. Zip on over to Liberty, Equality, Fraternity to get in on the ground floor.
Finally, down Toronto way (you know TO, the pulsating centre of the universe) the local anarchist discussion group, the Toronto Bad Books Discussion Forum, now has an online addition to their regular physical meetings. Look it up if you'd like to have your say.The forum is hosted courtesy of the Linchpin/Common Ground anarchist organization in Ontario. The first meeting of the new group drew about 10 people, and they had a discussion on the nature of the state and, of course, the hoary old "what is to be done" question. The next discussion will revolve around Antonio Negri's concept of "Empire and Multitude", something that Molly wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole except to beat it to death with. But if you're interested....
