While amusing - I recall (reading about, I am not THAT old) the returning vets from WWI that ended up in Winnipeg during the Great Strike.The strikers,thinking the army had been called in to suppress them began throwing things at the soldiers as they marched to their armouries.They were being 'de-mobbed' (is that the word) - returned to civilian life. Many of the returning vets joined the strikers.
