A Blast From The Past:
I've been adding a few more links recently and plotting the latest section of the Links. What's new is a link to the online Canadian magazine 'Connexions Online' under the 'Other Interesting Links Section' (http://www.connexions.org ). They describe themselves as, "an organization working to connect individuals and organizations working for social change with each other, with information and ideas and with the general public. Connexions Online features information about resources and organizations fostering democratization, economic justice, environmental responsibility, civil liberties and the creation and preservation of community". They are an interesting source for links but somewhat light on libertarian content. Mostly liberal and social democratic.
The "Blast From the Past" is a link I've added to the general links section. This is an archive of 'The Red Menace', a libertarian socialist magazine published out of Toronto in the late 70s. The inspiration was a reprint of an article from that journal from Ed Clark on the Anarkismo site. It was entitled 'Why the Leninists Will Win' and bemoaned the lack of serious anarchist organization at that time. Of course the Leninists never did "win". Time moves on, and today they are tiny political cults with even less relevance than the primitivist wing of anarchism. In the 30 years since the Red Menace was publishing anarchism has grown exponentially. True it has its more than usual share of disorganization and plain flakiness- like it always has had. But the general movement has grown in both numbers and practicality. In the 70s organizations like NEFAC would have been seen as pure fantasy. The IWW has expanded and become actually capable of waging real union struggles. Anyways, have a look at this "ol' time" snapshot from a period when this growth was just beginning.

I'm still fascinated by my site monitor. Today it recorded what I think is the first visit from Moscow. Dobre,dobre, Tovarisch. Love it. Canada and the USA continue to top the list, but Great Britain's share has fallen. Countries in the running include the Phillipines, Turkey, Germany, India and Australia. I sure do miss Argentina. Ah well.

My first attempt at reproducing a full page cartoon on this site was only partially readable. If you ruin your eyes trying to squint and make it all out, well what do you expect from staring at a computer screen all day ? Hopefully I'll iron out the glitches soon.
