MORE FUDGING AT THE G8:

The Harper Index has an interesting recent article on Stevie playing the clown prince at the G8 meeting now being held in Germany. Harper has tried to portray his role as that of a "mediator" between the USA and the other G8 countries on the matter of greenhouse gases. This is despite Harper's long standing record of opposition to the Kyoto Accord and the fact that Canada comes to the meeting with the worst record on global warming of any of the G8 countries. The article highlighted above gives more history of the rather sly ways that our present federal is seeking to avoid action on climate change.
