Justin Podur is a writer and editor for ZNet (www.zmag.org ), part of Z Communications, an alternative media organization dedicated to political analysis and support for movements for social change. He has reported from Pakistan, India, Haiti, Venezuela, Columbia, Argentina, Brazil, Israel-Palestine, and Mexico, and writes on North America as well. He has written for Z Magazine, Frontline (India), New Politics, New Left Review, rabble.ca, and other publications, and is part of the Pueblos en Camino collective (www.en-camino.org ). He runs a blog (www.killingtrain.com ) and is based in Toronto.

Justin Podur will also be doing an afternoon talk on Thursday, Feb. 12th at 1:30pm at the U of Manitoba (307 Tier Building) entitled "Economic Crisis, Economic Alternatives, and Political Strategy."
On Thursday evening (Feb. 12) at the Rudolf Rocker Cultural Centre (3rd floor, 91 Albert), Justin will be doing another talk on "Real Utopias: Imagining a Better World While the SH** is Hitting the Fan." This evening talk will start at 7:30 pm.
